Our Commitment to Our Users and the Protection of Your Data Privacy

We're committed to data privacy for all TouchCast users. In light of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) laws, we want to highlight how we meet these requirements for our users in the EU with the launch of TouchCast Fabric on May 25, 2018.

Preparing for the GDPR

With the GDPR announcement, we took these further steps to prepare for TouchCast compliance with these EU laws including:

  • External oversight working with GDPR Experts
  • Updating our contractual terms
  • Product features that offer data portability and management

On top of this, we maintain transparency as our products develop or as laws shift. Regardless, TouchCast commits to a high standard with data protection.

What information do we collect?

We collect your name, email, and in some cases other information that you choose to provide us, such as company and role.

If you choose to upload any content to TouchCast servers, that content is stored and available to you in order to facilitate your use of the TouchCast product suite. You can access, export, or choose to delete any of this content at any time.

As a user, you have the right to export, erase, or rectify any of this information at any time. You can also object to data processing at any point in the future by emailing us at support@touchcast.com.

As part of our updated marketing efforts, we will obtain your consent before sending you news and promotional material about TouchCast. You can withdraw your consent, without penalty, at any time by choosing the “unsubscribe” option, or by emailing us at support@touchcast.com.

We use your information for the following purposes:

  • As required to fulfill a contract, or to provide you with the service or product you have licensed.
  • To send you any communications that are necessary to facilitate your use of the service or product.
  • To provide customer service and support.
  • When given consent, to provide you with information about TouchCast products or services, news, updates, and similar information.
  • If necessary, on occasions where we ask for your consent for legal reasons to comply with requests by government or law enforcement agencies.
  • If necessary, on occasions where we ask for your consent to detect, prevent, or address any security-related issues.

How long is information stored?

  • We store personal information for the lifetime of your active user account, or as long as we have a business reason to retain the information.
  • Personal information that is processed for marketing purposes or with your consent is processed you choose to opt-out of the communication as described above. We also keep a permanent record of the fact that you have asked us not to contact you or to process your information in the future.

Where is the information stored?

  • Your personal information and files are stored on TouchCast's servers and the servers of vendors that provide service to us in order to regularly conduct our business, such as Amazon AWS and Google.
