Touchcast Utilizes NVIDIA Maxine Technology to Launch MCity

The First Enterprise Metaverse City Leverages NVIDIA Maxine and Cloud GPU Technologies to Create Hyperrealistic 3D Work Environments.
January 5, 2022

NEW YORK, NY (January 5, 2022) — Touchcast today announced the launch of MCity, where companies can deliver powerful communication, collaboration, retail, learning experiences and more.

Powered by NVIDIA’s accelerated computing and AI technologies, MCity lets any organization securely set up a virtual campus and offer immersive experiences that bring people together across time and space to deliver a true hybrid work experience.

Dozens of the world’s largest organizations, including Accenture, Microsoft, Pfizer, Macquarie Bank and UBS, have already run investor conferences, product launches and town hall meetings in Touchcast’s mixed-reality environments using NVIDIA’s Maxine, a GPU-accelerated software development kit with state-of-the-art audio, video and augmented reality AI features for developers to build virtual collaboration and content creation real-time applications such as video conferencing and live streaming inside of a hyper-realistic virtual space rendered via a partnership with Epic Games on the Unreal Engine. Touchcast has added Maxine Eye Contact, allowing presenters to comfortably read notes and announcements while using AI to redirect their eyes to the camera, improving audience engagement during presentations.

MCity is also available to over 250 million users of Microsoft Teams, allowing companies to migrate workflows into virtual worlds to support a post-pandemic hybrid work reality, without the need for hardware or software downloads and deployed to any organization as a Microsoft Teams app.

“We built this city on the shoulders of giants. The foundational work NVIDIA is doing in support of the metaverse vision is unparalleled,” said Edo Segal, founder and CEO of Touchcast. “NVIDIA makes the MCity possible through its powerful platform made up of both hardware and software. Enterprises now have the ability to move beyond websites and into an immersive metaverse that will transform the way they work.”

“Simulated virtual worlds are going to transform the future of work,” said Bob Pette, VP of Professional Visualization at NVIDIA. “MCity lets companies move to 3D worlds today by harnessing the power of cloud-based, high-end rendering on Microsoft Azure, powered by NVIDIA GPUs. Omniverse will extend this vision further by taking the virtual twins created by architects, engineers and product designers directly into their virtual meetings.”

NVIDIA Omniverse is a platform for real-time 3D design collaboration and simulation.
