Revisiting Inclusion: A New Paradigm for Truly Equitable Public Services
Public services have a moral imperative to be accessible to all citizens, regardless of ability, background, or circumstance. Yet despite best intentions, many fall short of realizing this ideal. This article provides a blueprint for reimagining inclusion as a core operating principle, integrating accessibility into the DNA of public services through participatory design, assistive technologies, and an omnichannel approach. The aim is to catalyze a shift from slogans to action, transforming public institutions into engines of empowerment that help citizens seamlessly access their rights and participate in civic life with dignity.
